Brasserie Gigi

Brasserie Gigi is nestled in the heart of Charleston’s tourist historic district, but this is no tourist trap. Most restaurants up and down the highly trafficked Market Street need a serious facelift, but this brasserie is a breath of fresh air. They offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour specials from 4 – 7 pm.

I recommend going for lunch and ordering the Chicken Paillard Sandwich. I never order chicken at restaurants, but for this particular dish, I make an exception.
