homeward bound

Between wedding planning and a busy fall schedule at work, I am looking forward to curling up and enjoying some much-needed R&R these next two weeks (!!). Although every single day of my two-week vacation is already pretty much planned out, I am determined to find time to relax and enjoy what is left of the holiday season. Nothing’s quite like New York during Christmastime and I can’t wait to cram all of that spirit into a few days.

There’s a reason why they say that there’s no place like home for the holidays, right?

weekend recap

I managed to twist Mike’s arm just hard enough in order to get him to make a last minute trip to Charleston between my New York visits. And while New York was experiencing frigid temperatures, the weather down South was picture perfect.

We found time to make a trip to the beach, dine al fresco–not once, but twice, attend several holiday parties, bake cookies eat lots and lots of cookie dough, meet a dear friend–and former S.I. member–for lunch, finalize our save-the-date, and catch up on six episodes of Homeland. I must say that we impressed even ourselves.
