Sugar Bakeshop

I had high expectations for Sugar Bakeshop, which was founded here in Charleston by two New Yorkers.  Just down the road from two of the most popular restaurants in town, The Ordinary and The Grocery, this itty bitty bakery was referred to by many locals as “the” place to go for a killer cupcake.

As charming and as sweet as this little bakeshop was, I can’t imagine that what I consumed was the best in town…  and regardless of how many bakeries I manage to visit in Charleston, nothing will ever beat a Polka Dot cupcake.
